We sold our hearts

about

I was looking back in time and had this idea for a simple melody. My oldest son listened to it and put both thumbs up and said that this sounds like Kapten Kermit but in english. I take that as a good grade for a demo.

lyrics

We Sold Our Hearts

I really don’t know where to start
The words just don’t come out
I became the dry rock that came from the ocean heart

Thunder and lightning as a last strike
I remember it now
We met in the crossway in the middle of a nowhere hike

Well the rain kept falling
I took the last train out
All the money ran out
But I remember it now - We sold our hearts

We were born on a Sunday and
The summer had just begun
We were as one united force from the first look at the sun

Never joke about the way that lies ahead
Of you now
Or you’ll end up running away without knowing when to stop

I'm taking tunes from inside my head and try to put them on tape instead of hiding them in my drawers. Some parts are good and can be used to write songs - Some parts are just bad.
